Oh what a Nerdy world I live in!

I am a self proclaimed Nerd. I love Shows like Avatar the Last Airbender, Marvel Movies, and a variety of BBC shows. However there is one BBC show I have never gotten into, Doctor Who. BBC's most popular Sci-fi show. I have never gotten into for a reason I can not explain rationally. The only thing I can say for sure is that for the most part, I simply didn't get it, I didn't understand what it was about. And everytime I tried to ask someone about it the only response I got was "you just have to watch it!" What kind of answer is that...Can you not give me a "Doctor Who for Dummies" or something. Now I will not say that I have never seen an episode of Doctor Who, in an attempt to understand it better I watched a "classic" episode on Netflix. Sadly the episode I watched did not help me understand anything about the show other than that 60's TV can be VERY entertaining. Luckily there is something that has helped me understand Doctor Who. Pintrest is a fantastic site with a very dedicated "geek" category, and most of the content of that category is, you guessed it, DOCTOR WHO! So I thought I would share with you the things that Pintrest has taught me about Doctor Who. Who knows maybe this will help someone else understand the show that doesn't seem to be explainable. :-)

What Pinterest has taught me about Doctor Who!

• The Doctor does not die, he simply regenerates. Allowing the network to hire a new actor. 
•   The Doctor has regenerated 10 times in the last 50 years. (the show is currently on Doc. Number 11)
•  TD (the Doctor) has never been a redhead, but seems to want to be one very badly.
•  Fezzes and bow ties are cool
• TD is an alien by my best guess and from Galfry (excuse my spelling)
• TD has two hearts
•  TD has companions, female companions
• One companion is Rose Tyler, whom many people seem to love.
•  Another companion is River Song, whom there seems to be mixed feelings about.
• The TARDIS is not a phone booth, phone booths are red, it is a Police Call Box. 
•  The TARDIS is female???
•  Angel statues are bad news (let’s hope our fair Doctor never visits New Orleans)
• Some guy named Rory dies a lot.
• David Tennatte played the 10^th Doctor and Matt Smith plays the 11^th Doctor
•  Dr. Who is the incorrect way to type Doctor Who
• The Words Bad Wolf seem to be dangerous.
•  Gas masks also seem to play a part in something
• TD uses a sonic Screwdriver (whatever that is)
• There are these robots called Daliks, and are not good things to encounter
• Tommy Pickles from the Rugrats is a popular Doctor Who comparison ( I have heard that the creators were big fans of TD)  

2013: A year for a better Blogger!

Hello People of Earth! If you were not already aware it is the second of January, so the World did not end on the 21st of December....SHOCKER! lol SO as it stands it is a new year.

Every Year many Americans feel the need to make "New Year Resolutions" Goals that they want to accomplish over the next year, fears to overcome, etc. I will gladdly admit to being one of those Americans. I even go as far as to write them down and put the list somewhere I can get to to see if I can cross anything off. Last year I met one of my goals, I stopped biting my nails. Score one for me! :-)

This year I have compiled a list of 10 resolutions, with a bonus resolution of completing at least two things on the list of ten. One of my resolutions this year ( number 5 to be exact) is to post on this blog at least once a week! In order to help myself achieve this goal I have set a day that I will sit down and post every week, I picked Saturday. For no other reason than it was the first day that popped into my little head.

So, every Saturday this year you may expect a new blog post, it might be a non-sense post about the week, or some article i have whipped up. It could even be some reandom picture I found on pintrest or something. But I will do my best to make a post, no matter what it might be!
